Budding Black Dentists Network is a non-profit organisation founded by Simisola Fynn-Famodun in her 4th year of dental school. She and two of her coursemates, Vivienne Onamusi and El-Eden Biney, were concerned about the lack of black representation in dentistry and felt the need to target this issue.

Since its inception in 2020, the organisation has successfully raised awareness about oral diseases' and their impact on black skin through social media. They have also held multiple personal statement and mock interview workshops, oral health education webinars, and social networking events. In 2023, we launched our mentorship programme and outreach initiative. The organisation collaborates with dental students and dentists throughout the UK to fulfil its objectives.
